When it comes to staying in the midst of nature with lush green coffee plantations and pepper vines, the best option is to always stay in a homestay that is nestled inside a coffee estate. We have been looking after our coffee estates for decades and with it, comes a lot of experience that we can share with you regarding various activities that take place to produce coffee throughout the year.
We are actively involved in growing coffee and during different seasons of the year, various activities will take place like plucking coffee beans from the plants and drying them in the yard before selling them to the market. If you are at the homestay at the right time, you get to witness Coffee blossom which is a stunning sight and has an amazing, mind blowing smell to it. I have seen it all my life and yet my mind craves for it.
We strongly encourage you to go for a coffee plantation walk to explore the flora and fauna in the estate and to get a close up view of the various activities that go on throughout the year which is one of a kind experience. The plantation walk is best during early morning hours because of the birds chirping and the likelihood of spotting peacocks is higher. You can go for a walk as deep as you would like as long as you can retrace your steps back to the homestay.
There are many indoor and outdoor activities that you can do within the homestay like playing Indoor board games, Carrom, Chess, Badminton, Cricket, barbecue, coffee plantation walk or go for a short drive to see many stunning sights nearby.
When you are done with all these activities and sightseeing, a campfire will be lit in the evening for you to sit around and enjoy its warmth under the stars before you take your dinner. And speaking of dinner, we have a great cook at the homestay who makes both veg and non-veg items.
